Copper Moon is growing up! You might have noticed already. Contributor articles have been more hard hitting. Both Social Conservatism and Meatatarian’s Argument have sparked much discussion. And we'll continue to post such commentary articles along with How-To and personal essays. The purpose behind these pieces is to stimulate discussion about how Wiccan/Pagans are portrayed. What values do we hold? Can we all be lumped into one pre-defined definition? I may not agree with every word posted in these types articles, but I do support people's rights to have their voice heard.
It can be a fine line between what is acceptable and what isn't. Not every article submitted is posted. I am sure some web readers will be upset about what's been said in this or that piece, well you have a right to be heard too. Feel free to post your comments below the article in question. Just keep it calm and rational.
Future articles may include sexual themes, political concepts, challenging the statue quo within our own community. As the editor, I will keep an awareness of our younger readers ... but it is not my job to shield them from different viewpoints or uncomfortable topics.
Copper Moon will continue to grow and change over time. My goal has always been (and will continue to be) to provide a safe haven for young adult Wiccans to voice their opinions.
This month you can stay tuned for more articles, reviews and a great author interview with Dianne Sylvan. Finally, to keep the e-zine going (and free) please visit our sponsor's websites. Both Arsenic & Old Lace and Mickie Mueller's ad support have enabled Copper Moon to continue publication. By visiting these sites via Copper Moon's main page and/or purchasing their products you keep Copper Moon up and running.
I hope you will stick with us as the e-zine grows and evolves. Also consider submitting a piece of your own!
